Celtic Woman from left to right: Lisa Kelly, Alex Sharpe, Máiréad Nesbitt, Lynn Hilary and Chloë Agnew
Irish vocal group Celtic Woman will return to the Xcel Energy Center on March 24. Ticket details will be announced soon.
Once dubbed "Riverdance for the voice," the five-member, all-female group formed in 2004 and found nearly instant fame thanks to a frequently aired PBS special. The 2009 Celtic Woman tour launched at the X in February and returned to the Twin Cities for an October performance at the Mystic Lake Casino.
The 2010 tour is based on the group's upcoming CD/DVD "Songs from the Heart," which hits stores Jan. 26. The concert will include renditions of "Amazing Grace," Jimmy Webb's "The Moon's a Harsh Mistress," Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Pie Jesu," Billy Joel's "Goodnight My Angel" and Irish classics such as "My Lagan Love" and "Galway Bay."
