ST. LOUIS — Internationally acclaimed vocal phenomenon Celtic Woman returns with a brand-new show to the Fabulous Fox Theatre.
The North American tour, “Believe,” features vocalists Chloë Agnew, Lisa Lambe, newest member Susan McFadden and Celtic violinist Máiréad Nesbitt performing classic Irish tunes, such as “The Water Is Wide,” “Green Grow the Rushes,” “A Woman’s Heart” and “The Parting Glass.”
“Believe” starts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at The Fox Theatre in St. Louis.
“Believe” also features timeless pop anthems such as “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and “Sailing,” as well as inspirational songs including “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and “Ave Maria,’” with their signature Celtic Woman twist, under the distinct musical direction of Emmy-nominated music producer David Downes.
Celtic Woman’s awe-inspiring vocalists and mesmerizing violinist will be backed by a dazzling six-piece band, the Aontas Choir, and renowned championship Irish dancer Craig Ashurst.
Celtic Woman’s newest studio CD and companion DVD, “Believe,” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s World Music Chart and Top Internet Album Chart in February. Filmed for the first time in the United States in front of some of their most loyal fans at The Fox Theatre in Atlanta last September, “Believe: Live” began airing last December on Public Broadcasting System television stations around the country as part of the network’s quarterly pledge drive.
Since their March 2005 American debut on PBS, Celtic Woman quickly emerged as a spectacular commercial success, selling more than 6 million CDs/DVDs and more than 2 million concert tickets worldwide.
