Damian Mc Ginty and Mairead Carlin Perform Let the River Run for UK City of Culture 2013
Damian-Mairead-damian-mcginty In 2013 Derry-Londonderry became the first ever UK City of Culture. The city is doing an amazing job hosting a year long celebration of culture that has attracted visitors from around the world. In this City of Culture music video Mairead Carlin and Damain Mc Ginty sing Let the River Run which was written and first performed by singer/songwriter Carly Simon. Let the River Run is the popular theme song from the 1980’s movie Working Girl. This City of Culture music video also showcases talent from programs and events including the Royal Ballet, Lumiere, National Youth Orchestra Residency and the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.
