Title: Pianist Brickman Filming Two Niagara Falls Shows Post by: Don on June 12, 2009, 06:12:44 AM It’ll be Christmas in June next week for pianist Jim Brickman.
The Grammy-nominated composer is filming two PBS specials at the Niagara Fallsview Casino, including a holiday show to air in December. So while the weather outside is … not so bad, really … Brickman will be a-carolling at the casino. “Once you get inside and everybody kind of gets in the mode, it seems to work,” says the man with soft fingers and a booming voice, on the line from Los Angeles. The Christmas show will be taped June 17 at the casino’s Avalon Ballroom, starting at 8:30 p.m. The next night, Brickman is back filming a PBS special coinciding with his upcoming album, “Beautiful World.” It airs in August, just before Brickman embarks on a 75-city world tour. Guests will include Jon Secada, Melinda Doolittle, Arthur Hanlon and Órla Fallon. “I think everyone in Niagara has seen those beautifully-filmed PBS music specials on (Buffalo’s) WNED,” says casino spokesman Greg Medulun. “Mr. Brickman’s shows give 3,000 of our guests the chance to be a part of one of those specials. They get to see a great concert, but they also get to see how one of those specials is created.” Posted By JOHN LAW Niagara Falls Review Ontario, Canada June 11,2009 Title: Re: Pianist Brickman Filming Two Niagara Falls Shows Post by: Scott on August 08, 2009, 08:09:15 PM I hated to see Orlagh leave CW. She will be missed.
